Frequently Asked Questions
Here are answers to some common questions clients have after they contact us. If you don’t see your situation here, just let us know the details when you reach out — we’re happy to clarify anything specific to your file.
How soon will I hear back from you?
We typically respond within one business day. During peak filing season (February–April), response times may be slightly longer, but we do our best to acknowledge every message promptly.
Can I change or cancel my appointment?
Yes. If you have an appointment booked, your confirmation email includes a link to reschedule or cancel your meeting. If you have trouble with the link, you can contact us by email or phone and we’ll adjust the booking for you.
Do you offer virtual meetings if I’m not in Langley?
Yes. We regularly work with clients across Surrey, Vancouver, and throughout B.C. using secure virtual meetings and electronic document sharing. Let us know if you prefer a phone or online meeting when you contact us.
What kinds of work can you help with?
We assist with personal tax returns, corporate tax and year-end, bookkeeping and GST/PST filings, payroll, and estate and trust returns. If you’re not sure whether your situation fits, send a brief summary and we’ll let you know how we can help.
What should I have ready for our first meeting?
If possible, please have your most recent tax return, current year tax slips (T4s, T5s, etc.), rental or business records, and any CRA correspondence handy. For corporate clients, recent financial statements or bookkeeping records are helpful — but don’t worry if everything isn’t perfectly organized yet.
Is my information kept private?
Yes. We treat all client information as strictly confidential. Your personal and business details are stored securely and are never shared with anyone unless you specifically authorize us or we are required to do so by law.
What if my situation is urgent (deadlines or CRA letters)?
Please mention any deadlines or CRA notices when you contact us. If you’re facing an urgent filing deadline or received a CRA letter, we’ll do our best to prioritize your file and outline the steps we can take right away.
