What’s New in 2025 Taxes
As of 2025, key updates to Canada’s tax system include a higher capital gains inclusion rate—now 66.67% for gains over $250,000—and an increased Lifetime Capital Gains Exemption of $1.25 million. The new Canadian Entrepreneurs’ Incentive also offers a reduced rate of 33.33% on qualifying sales up to $2 million.
